It was previously true that you couldn't post direct links from your You-Tube videos to external websites. That's no longer the case...but it's not a simple process. There's a specific sequence of steps you have to perform in order for it to work and you need to own a website and a domain. If you can work it out though, you can have the following benefits:
1. People are more likely to notice and click on the links if they appear in the video.
2. If people embed your video in their own sites, your link will still show up.
